We can know our children are beginning to understand the
doctrine when we see it revealed in their attitudes and actions without
external threats or rewards. As our children learn to understand gospel
doctrines, they become more self-reliant and more responsible. They
become part of the solution to our family challenges and make a positive
contribution to the environment of our home and the success of our
family. - Cheryl A. Esplin, "Teaching
Our Children to Understand," Ensign, (CR) May 2012

The sacrament becomes a
spiritually strengthening experience when we listen to the sacrament
prayers and recommit to our covenants. To do this, we must be
willing to take upon us the name of Jesus Christ. Speaking of this
promise, President Henry B. Eyring taught: “That means we must see
ourselves as His. We will put Him first in our lives. We will want
what He wants rather than what we want or what the world teaches us
to want.” - Cheryl A. Esplin, “The
Sacrament—a Renewal for the Soul,” Ensign (CR) November 2014

President Monson has often reminded us that we are “surrounded by
those in need of our attention, our encouragement, our support, our
comfort, our kindness—be they family members, friends,
acquaintances, or strangers.” He said, “We are the Lord’s hands here
upon the earth, with the mandate to serve and to lift His children.
He is dependent upon each of us.” - Cheryl

Asks Us to Be His Hands,” Ensign (CR) May 2016
