The Nephite prophet Alma counseled, “See that ye bridle all your passions, that ye may be filled with love.” (Alma 38:12.) Jesus Christ, the Son of God, became our Savior and Redeemer because he overcame the world. When Satan tempted him, he did not succumb; when he was ridiculed and reviled, he did not compromise.
